Mind in Kingston is fully committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, ensuring that people accessing our services are treated equally and with respect and dignity, and that our charity and services are inclusive and reflective of our local community. 

We have appointed an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead; this is our Trustee Bijal Dattani-Parekh. Bijal chairs the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Sub-Committee which reports directly to the Board of Trustees.  You can contact her at [email protected].

We want to make sure that we, as an organisation and as individuals that work for Mind in Kingston, make this our priority so that we can achieve our vision that everyone with a mental health issue gets support and respect. Our strategy, which is currently under review, has a strong focus on equality, diversity and inclusion and we are committed to improving access to mental health services through the Advancing Mental Health Equality collaborative, which seeks to remove barriers to mental health support.

Modern Slavery Statement

Mind in Kingston has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our operations and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own operations or in any of our supply chains.

Whilst we are not required to publish a formal statement or report under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we are committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own operations and our approach to tackling modern slavery. We expect the same high standards from all of our suppliers, commissioners, employees
